When a homicide goes unsolved, family members are robbed of closure, justice, and peace. Detectives need your help to solve these homicide cases. If you have any information, no matter how small, please submit an anonymous tip. You could receive $1,000 if that information leads to an arrest and charges.

On July 14, 2017, Stephan Stewart was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting near the intersection of 37th Ave. S and S. Oregon St. in Seattle. Due to the location of the shell casings from the shooting, it appeared that the victim had been visiting a Memorial site from a previous homicide. A dark blue or black sedan was seen leaving the scene.

On May 3, 2017, 16-year-old Kahlani Shabazz was shot multiple times in the parking lot of Borracchini`s Bakery on Rainier Ave. in South Seattle, where Kahlani was a passenger in her mother’s Dodge Charger. A gunman in a silver four-door sedan pulled up next to the vehicle and opened fire.

On April 11, 2017, 35-year-old Latrel Williams was shot multiple times in the parking lot behind his apartment building on the 8300 block of Rainier Ave. S. in Seattle. It appeared that he was executed. Three suspects in dark clothing and possibly wearing hoods were seen running from the area, and a dark-colored minivan was also seen leaving the area through an alley. Additionally, a rifle was found discarded in the backyard of a nearby residence, which is most likely the murder weapon. Seattle Police say Latrel was an innocent victim and they have found no motive or reason for his murder.

On February 24, 2017, around 7 pm, 73-year-old April Fait was struck by a hit and run driver near the Highline Performing Arts Center in Burien. She died at the scene. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a newer silver or gray sedan with damage to the right front portion of the vehicle.

On January 27, 2017, deputies received a desperate 911 call for help from a house in Seabeck near Lake Tahuyeh. When first responders arrived, they found a burning home and three bodies inside—16-year-old Hunter Schaap, 16-year-old Johnathon Higgins, and his mom, 37-year-old Christale Careaga. The following day, 43-year-old John Careaga (Christale’s husband) was found murdered in his burned-out Ford F150 pickup truck on a tree farm on NE Dewatto-Holly Road, south of Forest Springs Road in Mason County. The Kitsap County Sheriff’s office believes there was more than one suspect involved.

On December 15, 2016, 45-year-old My-Linh Nguyen was shot to death during a street robbery. It happened at 39th Ave. S and S. Warsaw as she was walking home from the light rail. Investigators say Nguyen was shot multiple times by the suspect who stole her purse. Nguyen was killed in front of her 15-year-old son.

On September 26, 2016, 37-year-old Inacio Nein and his nephew were sitting on a log listening to music in a wooded area between SE 242nd and SE 244th near the 10800 block in Kent’s East Hill neighborhood. They were approached by a gunman who asked what was in their pockets and started reaching toward them. The nephew was able to push the suspect’s hands away but was struck in the side of the head with the gun. He was knocked incoherent and fell to the ground. The suspect then fired several shots toward Inacio, who died at the scene. The victim’s nephew was able to run away to call police.

On September 4, 2016, 27-year-old Sgt. Timothy Hovey was just a month away from deploying to Iraq when he was shot four times at 128th St. and 21st Ave. S in Burien. Timothy had been at a house party and was out for a walk. King County detectives still aren’t sure if Hovey was targeted.

On August 2, 2016, 51-year-old Trina Bolar was shot multiple times inside her home on the 2800 block of E. Arthur Place in Seattle’s Madison Valley neighborhood. Trina’s family says that she was friendly and trusted people she hardly knew, which could’ve been a factor in the gruesome murder.

On Christmas Eve 2015, Danny Cisneros Sr. was shot to death in the stairwell of an apartment building in the Pacific Ridge neighborhood of Des Moines. Danny’s wife and 7-year-old son were with him.

On July 23, 2015, 59-year-old Donnie Chin was shot to death in Seattle’s International District. Chin was a beloved community protector who served as an unofficial security force for more than 50 years. He was responding to sounds of gunfire.

On July 3, 2015, 36-year-old Jeff Beach was attacked on a beach trail in Long Beach, Wash. Around 10 pm, police received calls about a possible assault and arrived to find victim Jeff Beach unconscious. Information received stated that the victim was out that night with a group of people on the beach near 120th Place, located just down from the Sunrise Pacific Highway RV Park in Long Beach. Jeff was then transported to the Ocean Beach Hospital and then airlifted to Portland, Ore. He later died as a result of his injuries.

On June 27, 2015, 31-year-old Benito Enrique was beaten to death in Seattle’s International District. Benito had been heading to the Kenny Chesney concert at CenturyLink Field. Seattle police say a man in a white T-shirt and a trucker-style baseball cap could be responsible for beating Benito to death. Surveillance video captured Benito walking next to the suspect and a woman in her 20s. A short time later, medics found Benito about 300 feet away at 5th and South Weller with no pulse.

On November 4, 2009, 24-year-old Henry Faison Jr. was shot multiple times in the entryway to his Bothell townhome. Henry suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds to the mouth, neck, right arm, and right thigh area. One of the gunshots hit Faison in the upper vertebra of his neck, resulting in long-term organ damage and leaving him paralyzed from the neck down.

Witnesses spotted three suspects fleeing in a 4-door green Ford Taurus. Bothell Police believe the suspects intended to kill Henry, even firing into his face after he was on the ground. Detectives found six handgun shell casings.

Henry spent two months in the hospital. He managed to recover enough from his injuries to talk to detectives but could not recall with certainty the details of the shooting. He developed pneumonia several times and eventually passed away on September 2, 2015, at Providence Hospital in Everett.
